Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Mechanic

Position Location: Las Vegas, NV, Dallas, TX, Orlando, FL

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join its growing automotive service team. This role is responsible for accurately diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with strong diagnostic abilities, a passion for solving complex problems, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.

  • Perform inspections and accurately identify vehicle repair needs.

  • Use diagnostic scan tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Repair and service engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, fuel, and electrical systems.

  • Complete maintenance services according to manufacturer recommendations.

  • Clearly document repair findings and recommended services.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.

  • Stay current on evolving vehicle technology through ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drivability diagnostics, and engine performance.

  • Experience using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.

  • ASE Certifications preferred (A1–A8, L1, or Master Technician preferred).

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying shop environments.

  • Safely operate automotive tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
