Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Mechanic
Position Location: Las Vegas, NV, Dallas, TX, Orlando, FL
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join its growing automotive service team. This role is responsible for accurately diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical vehicle issues while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with strong diagnostic abilities, a passion for solving complex problems, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
Perform inspections and accurately identify vehicle repair needs.
Use diagnostic scan tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot complex issues.
Repair and service engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, fuel, and electrical systems.
Complete maintenance services according to manufacturer recommendations.
Clearly document repair findings and recommended services.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and industry standards.
Stay current on evolving vehicle technology through ongoing training.
Qualifications
3+ years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drivability diagnostics, and engine performance.
Experience using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.
ASE Certifications preferred (A1–A8, L1, or Master Technician preferred).
Valid driver's license.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying shop environments.
Safely operate automotive tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
